Thee Suka graces us this winter season with their five track EP titled “Against all odds” The EP comes hot on the heels of their last offering “Izinkathazo”, which became a radio hit seeing the guys supported by some of the biggest radio stations in South Africa. The afro-tech duo will be unveiling their music video for Izinkathazo alongside the EP to really give fans a chance to experience the magic that is in this project.

Throughout the EP, we are taken through a spiritual journey filled with emotions through the music. When asked what this EP means to them, they said “ The EP has a special place in our hearts as it was created through so many challenges and we had to push through in achieving the goal of completing it and named it Against all odds. With the support of our fans in mind, we had to share our journey through music knowing that we not alone but all of us are constantly going through so many challenges.

The EP is aimed at all the people who love and support our music as a reminder that there will always be challenges but giving up is never an option. We encourage everyone to push against all odds and win.

Speaking about the creative direction of the music video, Director Benson Ngxito said “Shooting a music video with this incredible Afro Duo Thee Suka was an awe-inspiring experience that transcended boundaries of creativity. The energy and synergy we shared in each frame were nothing short of magic, as our collective passion and talent harmonized into a visual masterpiece, this is a proud moment for me personally and I believe it’s just the beginning”.

Knowingly, most artists work well with managers along them, this is what’s the Duo’s manager Viwe Mji said: Working on this Project, the finding of a fitting or suitable location, trying to shoot the video within a limited time, having to fit a million rand idea into a zero budget video, was a challenge. We had to depend on relationships and chemistry of people that we have encountered with in the industry, like for example, we would never have even had a video without the brilliance of Dubula Productions who was able to find a way to make it work with our tight budget and the magnificent work of Elegant Dolls securing wardrobe for us to shoot the music video, we became family, so our challenges became positive at the END, therefore, I honestly loved every single minute of it.
